NCCE has been active in planting churches in the tradition of the Restoration Movement since 1964. Since 2005, we have had the distinct privilege of partnering with ten church plants throughout the Great Lakes region including Canada. Every new church is a story in itself. Hundreds of souls are being brought into new church communities where they can find and follow Jesus.
OUR NEW GOAL: INITI8TE 8 CHURCHES IN 8 YEARS
Starting in 2015, we launched our INITI8TE campaign with the goal of launching eight churches over the next eight years. We recently had the privilege of partnering with Southpoint Community Christian to launch their Huron Campus in 2015. Now we are looking to initiate our second church launch in 2016.
HERE ARE THREE EXAMPLES OF CHURCHES THAT WE HAVE SUPPORTED:
242 Community Church--Brighton
This church was planted in Brighton, MI in February of 2005. NCCE was involved in a partnership to plant this congregation with several other committed churches and organizations. Lead Pastor Dave Dummitt and his team have seen God do some tremendous work here. They were able to purchase a large community center a few years back and remodel it into a one-of-a-kind Church campus. Thousands gather here every weekend and throughout the week.
242-Community Church--Ann Arbor
NCCE partnered with the 242 Church in Brighton as well as East 91st Street Christian Church in Indianapolis to see a ministry launched in Ann Arbor. This new ministry is part of a multi-site strategy employed by the 242 Church in Brighton. Launched in the spring of 2009, Ann Arbor is now seeing a thriving new ministry. Lives are changing in Ann Arbor because people are creatively leading, serving, and following God where He leads.
Grace Community Christian Fellowship
This congregation is located in the Flint area. Flint has been one of the hardest hit areas in the state of Michigan due to the challenges of our economy. However, Lead Pastor Gary Cech has a vision to reach people in this community with God’s grace and hope. This three-year old congregation has recently been able to purchase their own facility, renovate it and make great strides for Christ in their new location. Prior to starting Grace Community Christian Fellowship, Gary was the senior minister at the Midland Christian Church.
