NCCE has been active in planting churches in the tradition of the Restoration Movement since 1964. Since 2005, we have had the distinct privilege of partnering with thirteen church plants throughout the Great Lakes region including Canada. Every new church is a story in itself. Hundreds of souls are being brought into new church communities where they can find and follow Jesus.
OUR NEW GOAL: Initiate 8 CHURCHES IN 8 YEARS
Starting in 2015, we launched our INITI8TE campaign with the goal of launching eight churches over the next eight years.
We had the privilege of partnering with Southpoint Community Christian to launch their Huron Campus in 2015.
In October of 2017, we helped launch The Lakes Church in Fruitport, MI.
In 2018, we have participated in three launches: Ubly Christian Church in the thumb area was launched in January, 242 Community Church Saginaw was launched in February, while LifeBridge Christian Church in Monroe was launched on Easter. This has been a great year for us!
HERE ARE THREE EXAMPLES OF CHURCHES THAT WE HAVE SUPPORTED:
242 Community Church--Brighton
This church was planted in Brighton, MI in February of 2005. NCCE was involved in a partnership to plant this congregation with several other committed churches and organizations. Lead Pastor Dave Dummitt and his team have seen God do some tremendous work here. They were able to purchase a large community center a few years back and remodel it into a one-of-a-kind Church campus. Thousands gather here every weekend and throughout the week.
southpoint church - huron campus
NCCE partnered with Southpoint in 2015 to plant Southpoint Huron. Brett Kays continues to serve as Lead Minister appointing Rich Collins as the campus pastor.
Rich is a Karate Master turned church planter. He’s also a US Marine, commercial jet pilot, motocross winner, drag race driver, High Risk Security Operations Certified, and a really nice guy. His wife, Stacy, is Southpoint’s Children’s Minister, with years of experience as a Gibraltar school teacher. She has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. They are doing great work.
Grace Community Christian Fellowship
This congregation is located in the Flint area. Flint has been one of the hardest hit areas in the state of Michigan due to the challenges of our economy. However, Lead Pastor Gary Cech has a vision to reach people in this community with God’s grace and hope. This congregation has now purchased their own facility, and is making great strides for Christ. Prior to starting Grace Community Christian Fellowship, Gary was the senior minister at the Midland Christian Church.
